The Dreaming Spires
'Paisley Overground'
Released: 10th June 2016

Paisley Overground is not only a knowing nod towards their musical influences, but also a step forward into a new-fangled jangle!

It has been a busy time for Oxford's finest The Dreaming Spires, who have been on the road touring hard in support of 'Searching for the Supertruth'. These heady days included a trip to the USA to play the Americana Awards in Nashville and an appearance on BBC's The Andrew Marr Show.

However, it was during the trip to the US that this new project laid down its roots and is now finally coming in to bloom with the bands latest release PAISLEY OVERGROUND - a 12-INCH MINI ALBUM featuring 4 new The Dreaming Spires songs.

Three of The Dreaming Spires songs were recorded at the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, home of the equally-legendary Big Star. The other, ‘Silverlake Sky’ was written right on Sunset Strip, the heart of The Paisley Underground, and recorded here in Oxfordshire using a 60s Eko 12-string acoustic.

Joining The Dreaming Spires on this release are The Hanging Stars, Sid Griffin & Tony Poole, Co-pilgrim and The Raving Beauties. Amazing artists in their own right, but united in a love for the chiming guitars that encapsulate The Paisley Overground.
